2018 Château Clinet, Pomerol AOC, Château Clinet Wine Advocate-Parker : The 2018 is a blend of about 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged for roughly 16 months in predominantly new French oak, giving a deep, dark profile of black cherry, plum and blackberry, layered with notes of graphite, cocoa, licorice and warm stone. On the palate it is full‑bodied, dense and powerful, with ripe, grainy tannins, vibrant freshness and a very long finish, and is considered a wine that will benefit from several years of cellaring and then drink beautifully over decades.
