Success comes with passion, innovation & tradition: The “G” in the name stands for “Garnacha”, one of the most famous red wine varieties in the world, which thrives in the Spanish highlands on granite soils. Daniel Jiménez-Landi and his partner Fernando García have been working for years on a joint project to restore the ancient vineyards, located about 50 minutes from Madrid, with their biological and biodynamic portfolio. Their plant territory now extends from the mountainous north-western part of the DO Madrid to the neighbouring Castilla y León, the province of Ávila, to the south.

The aim of the young winegrowers is to produce the best wine from Garnacha.
They surprise with wines with a distinct personality that are traditional and modern at the same time. Comando G wines are characterized by low colour, low wood content, good acidity and a liquid but persistent texture, which convinces with fine, tasty and elegant tannins.

The grapes for the base wine La Bruja Averia ripen on slate near the municipality of Rozas de Puerto Real. The grapes for Las Umbrias thrive at an altitude of about 1,200 metres above sea level on half a hectare. The very hard climate leads to a balanced ripening of the fruits and thus to a fresh and elegant wine. The vineyard faces east and lies on granite rocks with a sandy and loamy surface.

The grapes for Rumba del Norte and Tumba del Rey Moro, a Castilian parcel wine with a very rustic and expressive character, grow at similar altitudes.
The grapes of all the wines are processed in a converted oil mill, which does not de-stem the white grapes or the red ones. Long maceration periods guarantee gentle extractions and the aging in the barrel minimizes the influence of the wood. Comando G stands for pure terroir and the finest Garnacha enjoyment.
